Registered Purebred Romney Sheep Since 1965

We focus on strong genetics for hardy Romney sheep stock, efficient, calm mothers, and thriving lambs.

Romney sheep bred for clear faces, black noses, and feet. Prize-winning fleece, full staple length for hand spinning.

Shepherding: This is a closed, white-wool Romney sheep flock, now with a black factor as flocks and genetic selection have changed over the last twenty years, making outside ram bloodlines more challenging to find. Our focus has been to keep “old-style” Romney sheep with smaller, blocky bodies and short legs; at lambing, smaller lambs at birth for correct presentation and smoother deliveries.

Pasture Lambs: Reserve in April for fall slaughtering.

A Vermont Working Landscape: Our flock has summer grazing on historic pastures, keeping the land open with a variety of forage.

Winter feed: On small hillside fields, we raise organic hay full of clovers and grass mixes while keeping out invasive plants. Square bales, first and second cut, for sale at the barn.
