Aspiring sheep farmers planning a move to Washington County in August 2026. We are currently in the planning and acquisition phase, looking for a fixer-upper property to establish a silvopasture system. Our goal is to reclaim overgrown land using sheep and intensive management to minimize hay inputs.
We are joining VSGA early to learn from those who have been doing this for decades. We are starting from zero on experience but are serious about doing it right: calmly, methodically, and with respect for the land. Looking to connect with mentors and learn the reality of Vermont winters before we break ground.
